Blogging Is The Rage

If you haven't heard about blogging, you must be a caveman. Blogging is the rage on the internet for the past 10 years ever since it was started by doing weblogs- internet logs. Blog is short for weblogs.

So why are blogs such a big deal? To discuss that, you need a little history; traditionally before the internet news and info was reported by professionals- newpapermen, writers. Now, with the internet, everyone can report the news, publish, and write for free. Anyone, with an idea or desire to communicate something can with the click of a button.

Blogs are websites like googles blogger.com that are arranged and organized by date. Everytime you want to share new info or articles you just post a new blog. The most recent blog-post goes on top according to date - just like a log of info or list or diary. The title of each blog-post is archived on the right panel for easy access. Just click on the archive title and it will appear on top.

Each blog post can receieve a comment by individual readers. Blogs can be a 2-way street. Bloggers can build relationships with other bloggers with similar interests. This is extremely important and can build virally. Blogs can even be linked together to perform close ties and relationships and motivate each other.

Blogs are exceptionally easy to do and extremely effective in communicating ideas, interests, hobbies, info.

The big deal about blogs is that they give individuals power and freedom over traditional newspapers. It is like anyone can have and publish his own newspaper column, byline, section or even the entire newspaper itself! This appeals to a high number of people and groups. You can start your own blog for free at www.blogger.com, www.wordpress.com, www.typepad.com.

With blogs you can provide tons of printed info, photos, pictures - much more than a website and much more accessible. You can also subscribe to a blog rquesting notification whenever there is a new posting or update by email. Blog postings are automatically arranged and sequenced by date which makes it ideal for diaries, running commentaries, news updates.

In summation, what is a blog:
> it is a type of website
> it is a place to write news, info, and articles and easy as an email to write
